American Oil…where are we going in the next 10 years? The oil rig explosion and subsequent oil slick has many people wondering about offshore drilling.

The fact is our economy runs on oil. We need to find a solution to the current disaster and a fix so that this does not happen again.

We need to be drilling where the oil is and apparently offshore drilling is normally highly successful. Many will call to an end to offshore drilling, but the fact are the facts. We need American Oil more than ever.

Really kind of makes you wonder why Alaska has been prohibited in many areas. It seems like the risk of an environmental disaster would be less on land where it could be controlled faster.

Anyway, these are my quick thoughts on what is going on currently.

Seems like a bad way to announce my Amsoil dealership, but this is our world and my business as well as my family life depends daily on oil. Without gasoline or diesel fuel, our country grinds to a halt.

My journey began almost a year ago now. I have been just about chronically sick for the last 5 years. I would most always get a sinus infection that seemed to last weeks and it usually migrated to my chest for classic bronchitis.

I would be sick for weeks. 2 or 3 trips to the Doctor for one illness period were not uncommon. I would just get over my cold and a few week later I would start all over again. I was not getting anything done at home and was having a rough time at work.

Last November I went to hunting camp with a sinus infection. By the end of the 1st day, I was so sick I could not hunt. I was too sick to even be the camp cook. I held out hoping I would get better so I could hunt. Nothing doing. This was the last straw for me. I vowed I would find out what was making me so sick.

I sufferred through the winter, but had an appointment with an ear, nose and throat specialist. It was discovered that I had a deviated septum. Some of the Doctors questions rattled me. I was asked if I had difficulty sleeping. Sure do, but I figured it was because I was sick most of the time. A sleep study was ordered along with a CT scan of my sinuses.

One sinus cavity was completely blocked hense the answer to my problems. Or so I thought. Next up was a sleep study. This was not something I wanted to do at all, but I was determined to get healthy, once and for all. I reported to the hospital and was shocked at the amount of wiring that was attached to my head and body.

How is a person supposed to sleep with all this attached to him?
I did sleep fitfully, but completed the test. Sleep apnea was confirmed. Not what I wanted to hear. At all.

12. Setup a Contact Form on your home page to collect visitors name and email address. Set the form to post the information to your Autoresponder or at least a database on your site.

13. Setup a link page for exchanging relevant links to other websites to improve in bound links.

14. You can join traffic exchanges to get some free traffic.

15. Install (follow instructions) an Autoresponder on your webserver so you can use it to automate your email follow up tasks. An easier way is to use an autoresponder service. 18. Setup a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page to post those questions that you are often asked and your person answer to each question.

19. Put Audio or Video on a webpage. Video is the future of marketing and draws in traffic.

20. Sell the Skills that you learn to help others with their marketing.

I was looking for a quick article to start this web site off. I wrote this last year. It really captures why I (and many people I work with) work on a home-based business. Check it out.

Why Do We Do it? Home Based Business

So, why do we put in all the extra hours working to build our mlm homebased business? I will give you a great example of why I do it.

This weekend my wife and I traveled to our cabin in the northern woods of Michigan. The cabin started out as a hunting spot in the 50’s Over the years we have made improvements, but we really stepped it up the last 10 years. Now we have a cabin that is family friendly too. It is an awesome spot to vacation. Nice and quiet. We are 5 miles from town. So far out that there are no power lines. We do have a generator now and the place is wired for more modern convenience.

This trip we had 16 close family members at the cabin. We cooked over a campfire. We fought off the mosquitoes but had a great time sitting around the campfire and catching up on each others lives. There were 4 generations of my wife’s family there.

There are several reasons this is relevant to a home business. Having the time to do this trip is most always a desire of someone starting a home business. Time freedom.

Money. Not necessarily money, but the things that money allows you to do. Without the extra money, we would not have modified the cabin to make it a family friendly retreat. It takes money to make a trip like this and the costs are rinsing rapidly. To keep up this tradition, extra income will be needed.

The memories we generated this weekend are priceless.
